The Chat option is available during normal business hours.  If and when it is available, you will see something like this:

May I please say that I, for one, am wondering about chatting with customer support online. This is what "live chat" usually means everywhere else I have some kind of account that includes a customer support feature, not chatting on the telephone, which is the only thing I can find. Like when I go to the Contact Us webpage linked to in the reply above, I can't find anything there but telephone numbers and some links that lead a person in a small circle in which you start at the Contact Us page, select a type of support, and find yourself back at the Contact Us menu thing. One of the webpages says "Hi, _____! Welcome to AT&T Support," below which there is a box in which some text says, "Want live help? Call us, or chat with us online." Which seems to indicate a choice of speaking to customer support on a telephone or chatting on the Internet. But if I click on the Contact Us button there, I am taken back to the Contact Us menu, and it all starts over again...unless I'm just missing something, but I'm not the only one who has mentioned this circular  trip through those Contact Us webpages or who can't find their way to where to initiate the live online chat. So where, please, is the webpage where a customer can start chatting online with someone from customer support? Thanks. And sorry if I didn't explain that well or if it's actually  very easy to find where to start some live online chat with customer support.

Okay, I see the "Chat Available" box there now. If that is not available 24 hours a day 7 days each week, I hope the days and hours when online chat for customer support is available will be listed on the web page where it says online chat is an option for receiving customer support.

Here it is February 28, 2019, and I,too, am unable to locate CHAT in any way, shape, or form.

I find ATT is very deceptive in its claims about billing charges, and in attempting to sign

in .

In other words, ATT is a frustrating company to deal with.. the  reps tell you one thing

and the bill comes out with an entirely different amount being quoted just to have their

service.. on top of that, if you call them, you can't understand their accents.  They are

off in another country entirely different from America. There must be another way to

use the computer w/o all this annoyance.    [Edited to comply with Guidelines]

Same issue. Can’t seem to get live chat.  I click on customer support or contact us and it keeps taking me back to the same page. Why is it so hard to do a live chat with customer service? Why can’t I make changes to my account online without having to contact customer service. I should have the option of cancelling a line that’s not under contract anymore.
