DSL Interuptions

Despite paying over $100 / month for simple home phone and DSL service [I know - chuckle at the sucker getting ripped off], browser page loads / reloads often "pause" for 10 - 15 seconds. I D/L video programming from NetFlixs on my Roku box and often the show will be interrupted by a "PLEASE WAIT - DOWNLOADING" message on a black screen and the quality will drop from "HQ" to standard. I don't doing any gaming whatsoever, so I can't really believe I'm overusing bandwidth. Both my simple Windows 7 laptop for internet browsing and my Roku box connect with ATT-provided modem/wireless router.


Are they "throttling" me? Maybe problems with the local phone lines? Attempts to contact support at ATT are bounced with a 550 - User Unknown error message.


Any suggestions [besides getting a more reasonably priced carrier] gratefully accepted.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Have you completed any speed tests to see if your getting near the up to speed?
