Static IP's with GigaPower

Hello All. Just a simple question here...

I currently have U-Verse here in Austin (fiber to the premise) and have a static IP block through AT&T. My question is if I upgrade, will AT&T allow static IP's with GigaPower? I can't find any information concerning this anywhere else.

This is sort of a "make or break" option for me, and I am eligible for GigaPower at my location.

Thanks in advance.

You can get static IP's with Uverse HSI.  Doesn't matter the size of the "pipe".  Pro, Max, Max Plus, Gigapower, etc.

Hi BeBeeSA.

That's exactly what I thought too. It's usually just another line-item in the billing system, but an AT&T tech told me earlier that it wasn't possible. I was hoping to get some official word via this board on if this is a technically or billing limitation that they haven't quite worked out the bugs with.

Thanks!

With that said, I would recommend that you send a Private Message to the ATTU-verseCare Community Specialist team.  One of the specialists will respond to your PM shortly.  Please look for the flashing envelope at the top right of the page for your response from a team member.

One of the guys can tell you 100% that they can.

Oh, and there have been several "glitches" with the gigapower site that are being worked out.

Excellent. I will do that now and report back any information I receive from them.

Thanks again...

Yes they say that they CAN indeed port them over, as long as it's simply a speed upgrade and nothing else changes!

Lookin' good so far : )

Thanks,

I just had to cancel my order because I called to verify I could keep my static IP's and was told that I can't.

Are you transferring from AT&T DSL or U-verse or some other provider?

If some other provider, nope, no way, no how.

If AT&T DSL, then I think that is, unfortunately, also the correct answer.

If U-verse, I'd double check that answer by clicking this AT&T logoU-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your query. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope envelopein the upper right hand corner of this site) in a business day or three.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle). Speed things up by including your Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

I currently have u-verse. I called the gigapower tech support and they said there was technical reason I couldn't keep them. I'll try the PM. Thanks.
