Still exposed cables after 3 months

I got fiber installed 3 months ago. Everything works fine, but the cables are still exposed. When can I expect that the cables are buried accordingly?

When they installed the cable they told me that it will take some time until the installation will be completed, but 3 months are definitely to much. This is a real bad service experience!

Hello @mapill, let’s get this issue addressed for you.

In order to bury the cable, please contact our Buried Wire Center at 1-800-924-9420.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

I called the Buried Wire Center this week and they promised that I will receive a call during the next 24 hours. But nobody called me, so I gave them an extra day. Then I called the buried wire center again and they forwarded my call to a manager. But this manager was not in his office according to his voicemail... Then I called the buried wire center again, but now it was already closed because its past 6pm.

To be honest: I do not like to talk to a manager. I expect that a company like ATT is able to bury a cable!

The monthly fee is higher compared to your competitors. I expect to have a better service.

Finally someone came last week to bury our cables without further notice.

Now everything is fine, but it took at least 3 months.

I called the Buried Wire Center and was told by a recording that my hold time would be 10 minuets.  After 15 minuets I hung up because I needed to move on with my day.

I called the Buried Wire Center 4 days later  and was told by a recording that my hold time would be 10 minuets.  Well 1 hour and 3 minuets later an agent picked up my call.  I immediately told them how long I was on hold, all they said was " I  apologized for the inconvenience" and then asked the nature of my call.  After I got the date and time frame someone would be out to bury my cable  I asked to speak to a manager about my hold time on the phone.  I was switched to some other department that said they had nothing to do with buried cable wires.

If anyone is reading this reply please forward this to the appropriate department or person responsible for buried cables in Mableton Georgia 30126 or to the person/Manager in charge of the department in general.   If hold time on a phone is going to be that long for customers calling to inquire about when the cables will be buried on their property, have their calls answered by a voice mail where customers can leave their name, telephone number, and message  for a call back when an agent can respond to the concerns noted.  It is impolite to have any customers on a telephone hold for 1 hour and 3 minuets.    With all the progress that has been made in telephone services there is no reason why paying customers need to wait that long to get questions of any kind answered.
