Regarding Fiber internet

Will there eventually be Fiber speeds offered everywhere later in the future? The current speed you offer in my neighborhood is only 100Mbps. Smiley Frustrated

If best available is 100, this is Fiber To The Node or FTTN VDSL. Based on length of last mile copper and facilities (F, K or N card bonded or single pair) speeds available can be 100/20, 75/20, 50/10, 45/6, 25/5, 25/2 and 18/1.5 at longest length. Over 30 million addresses have ATT Uverse FTTN deployed from 2006 to end 2015.

Direct Fiber or FTTP (fiber to the premise) currently reaches over 10 million addresses with another 3 million being added in 2019. Offering 100/100, 300/300, 500/500 and 1000/1000 based upon what customer willing to pay.

Will all addresses in the 21 state footprint receive FTTP, highly unlikely as 5G, Project Airgig and other wireless will prevent less densely populated areas from being upgraded. Even the 10 year FTTN deployment only reached about 42% of then addresses available. It would take until at least 2040 to reach all addresses at 3 million per year.

Will your particular address be upgraded? Unknown as no publicly available timeline exists for exact locations, only cities which will likely max out at around 25 to 35% of addresses for that city. Some communities may be higher or lower percentage.

At 100 FTTN your under 1000 feet of copper as a bonded pair on K or N card and currently have the best that FTTN supports from the VRAD. If your area is upgraded in the future would see construction activity of fiber being installed on street level months before product could be ordered.
