Good Evening,

The Passive Optical Network (PON) light is off because you are not receiving light through the fiber. If it is aerial and you can see the fiber from your box on the outside of your house go all the way to the pole and there is no physical damage then you will need a tech to come out and diagnose where the problem is beyond the pole. If it is buried and there has been no disturbance of the ground in your yard then you will want to have a tech come out also. You can try power-cycling the ONT which is the white box on your wall with the PON and alarm lights before you call for a tech.

Regards,

Delay in response from ATT is poor.  The 800 service starts automated and doesn't help and then trouble sometimes with getting people to talk to then got delay in getting technician out to check.  Ithought fiber would be buried since recently put in our community but no, runs down overhead power lines.  So much risk of line damage and I find I get data drop and more uffering in rain.

Hey, @Bman47129. We'd be glad to help with your internet service.

Just to clarify, are you still having trouble with your internet, or did it get resolved by a technician? Please provide more details on the matter so we can offer our best assistance, thanks!

You need to call 1-800-288-2020 and request "repair" in response to the VRU. A tech will need to be dispatched to repair your fiber drop and/or the ONT.
