I have a ATL Optic box wont power on. I was using internet to play my beloved games online when i was kicked out of an important mission because i lost internet. I cool down and go reset my modem which i have to do way to much as it is but after several attempts i see that no lights are on on the optic box. I try to reset it and nothing. Pull out the power and nothing. I called at&t and they will have someone come out 5 days from today 4.18.19 but i work from home and i need a quuck fix please someone tell me its as simpme as getting another power cord.

Hi There @Tiraq117

No power to the Fiber Optic box. Not a problem. We can help with that.

More then likely, it is simple as a faulty power cord or possible problem with the power outlet that it is plugged in to.

Let's try a few steps to see if we can get power restored to the box.

  1. Locate the power cord coming from the Optic box and find where it is plugged in to.
  2. Unplug the end that is plugged into the power source.
  3. If the plug is plugged into a surge protector, plug it in directly into the nearest wall outlet.
  4. If it is plug directly into the wall unplug it and do a the hair dryer test.
  5. Take a hair dryer or another electronic piece of a equipment and plug it int to the same plug in the wall. Did the device power on?
  6. If so then the problem is with a power cord
  7. If not then the problem is with the outlet that the Optic box is plugged into.

Now you did state that you have a tech dispatched for 04/18/2019. You are absolutely correct that is too far out for the problem. We can see if we have anything closer.

To get started, we will be sending you a private message to your forums inbox.
