Since then, my port forwarding configurations have been rendered completely inoperable. Nothing works. I've spent over an hour with customer service today, who verified the port forwarding configuration was correct, as well as with Connectix and no one has been able to offer any explanation -- I've stumped everyone. Since subscribing to AT&T Fiber, my port forwarding setup has worked perfectly for over a year. Only since this 1.6.7 firmware was pushed has it completely stopped working. I haven't had time yet to do a full device reset yet but it's the absolute last step myself or anyone at AT&T could think to try. I'll add that we also tried various configurations using IP Passthrough, what I consider a last resort option, and nothing was accessible through it either. Please, AT&T, look into this firmware for bugs relating to incoming connections.

Re: ARRIS BGW210-700 1.6.7 firmware update has rendered all port forwarding and passthrough inoperab

I am extremely glad I stumbled upon this. I am having a ton of issues with port forwarding since last night, and I couldn't figure out why. This seems to be the reason and I hope at&t pushes out a fix fast

Hmm, interesting. I am still on 1.5.12, Dallas area. Maybe they stopped pushing out this update because of the port forwarding issues?

I am actually waiting for the update to see if their AirTies 4920 mesh extenders actually do their "mesh" thing properly. To date I have had to cycle wifi on all iPhones trying to connect, when moving around the house. The phones will show they are on wifi, but I need to cycle them off and back on before they will actually connect.  About to give up and try passthrough mode and set up my own router....

Interesting. I reconfigured my RE200 extender to work as an AP because it seemed as if the RG was unable to properly keep tabs on all device properly.  My impression, based on history and observation through the years is that testing of these devices needs improving.

Confirmed my RG also updated to 1.6.7. However I am not a good candidate to help debug as I endeavor to keep the RG  as close to stock configuration for the reasons stated.  Yes features on offer should work as expected, but oftentimes stumble into a rabbit hole that's difficult to get out of.

DID factory reset it, and the version is still 1.6.7. It IS working for now with port forwarding. I will update if it stops.

@murphy52589

So a cold start didn't help but rather required a factory reset. I think I'll schedule this myself for over the weekend just to be sure the update is installed correctly.  My BGW is a December build FWIW.

@gr8sho I did call support. I was planning on factory resetting it myself, but thought on the slim chance it was something else, I'd call them. After an hour and a half, they were the ones that factory reset it

I encountered the same issues last night. It seems that the port forwarding works opposite. forwarded ports are blocked and non forwarded ports are open. After removing my custonm port rules from the NT/gaming tab, i had no issues whatsoever. Though this also means that all other ports are open.

@Turrican

Did you factory reset the RG and still observe the effect?

Re: ARRIS BGW210-700 1.6.7 firmware update has rendered all port forwarding and passthrough inoperab

Here's what I found. If you reboot the RG, port forwarding works for a few hours then stops. I then factory reset the RG and set it all up again. Same thing, port forwarding works for a few hours then stops. It will probably be months before ATT fixes this.

So I called ATT and the solution is the send me a different RG, the 5268. That should fix it although I'm not sure I'll like the new RG as much as the BGW210.

@Transponder

IMHO, the 5268 is a downgrade. 😕

I am also experiencing this issue after receiving 1.6.7 firmware as well.

I had 5268 before and it had bricked after they pushed out a bad firmware update. The tech even told me that they have had issues with that one on certain firmware updates and that ARRIS BGW210-700 is better.

Seems like AT&T needs to figure out their firmware issues.

Looks like I've got this issue now too. Looking at my logs, my firmware was updated last night. Today I noticed none of my forwarded ports were accessible anymore. Is factory a reset the only fix? I don't really want to deal with that but I guess I will if I have to.

Factory reset didn't fix it for me. ATT replaced mine with the Pace 5268 but I don't like it. Wifi speeds are half ot the BGW210 and the interface is really slow. I'll be switching back if ATT fixes the port forwarding on the 210. I'm mystified why ATT would still be pushing 1.6.7 when they know about this problem.

I am also having this issue. I've had it for weeks as it seems I got the 1.6.7 very early. If I factory reset and set up again, it works briefly (a half hour or so) and goes right back to being screwed up. I'm trying to wait it out for a new firmware but it's certainly cramping my style.
