Tethered/Internal Device Conflict

Problem using a tethered cellular device on a laptop with an internal cellular device

The AT&T Global Network Client will always give preference to an internal cellular modem when trying to establish a cellular connection, and that may prevent use of a tethered handset connection, even if the internal cellular modem has not been activated or does not contain a SIM.

Before attempting to use a tethered cellular device in these cases, disable the internal cellular device through the PC BIOS settings.
