Global Network Client Stops Working after 3 minutes exactly. Every time.

Just started last week.

I can connect OK and the connection functions properly for exactly 3 mins.

After 3 minutes, I lose the connection (without the network client actually disconnecting) and I eventually get the message saying that the connection has been lost and it goes through 20 retries before giving an error about missing the heartbeat with the server.

I look at the data transfer display on the global network client interface...and while I see that information is sent upstream...nothing is being sent downstream.

I've tried over wireless...over a cabled connection and it isn't my home network. I've also tried at different locations and I always get booted at exactly 3 minutes. The fact that it is always at 3 minutes leads me to believe it is something with the GNC.

Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix?

TIA.

Just wanted to follow up since I've found a resolution.

I disabled my McAfee anti virus and it now works again.

Good luck to everyone.

Please send us the support logs so we can investigate further.  Open the AT&T Global Network Client, click on Help and Create Support Log.

Select Upload, fill out the form and submit.  You can use "forum" for ticket number.

Thank you.

When I try to 'Submit log', it gives an error "Unable to reach the server. Please verify you have an internet connection and try again"
But I'm connected to the internet. So I have sent the log file via email. Please check and let me know how to fix this issue.

Please note, only once it got connected and was stable after 3 minutes. But rest all the time, connection ended within 3-4 mins.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I haven't received the logs. I will send you a private message on where to send them.

Thank you.
