GNC fails to provide proper graphics when using Docking Station

We are using a docking station (D6000 from Dell via DisplayLink).  The GNC graphic interface will not display properly:  fails to paint, when window moved shows the complete paint, but frozen in time, very, very slow, and the entire system seems less responsive.  This issue occurs only on the displays driven by the docking station.  If I move the window to the laptop display, the window works as it should.

This problem needs at least a workaround now because we are supporting disaster relief and cell coverage is sometimes all we have.  It might be that the video part of this app assumes hardware acceleration.  If that is the case, the web and our experiences suggests that the signal sent to the docking station will not be correctly interpreted, because the signal is sent in some compressed form over USB.  The docking station contains the hardware graphics acceleration.  So, the first thought is that any assumption by the software to use hardware acceleration needs to be disabled.  What say you?  How?  Thanks,
