There's a number of reasons to answer "no," to this:

1. Even when AT&T starts offering LTE devices, they're likely to have HSPA as a fall-back for years to come, so there's no particular need to upgrade the Microcell to LTE.

2. The Microcell's purpose is to make voice calls work better. If you are somewhere where you can install a microcell, it almost certainly means you're in an area where you have WiFi, which you should use for data instead. Voice service doesn't really need more than 64 kbps in both directions (and cellular calls are heavily compressed, so they require much less, generally).

3. The uplink data bandwidth is constricted to just over 100 kbps anyway, so regardless of the underlying over-the-air protocol, you're not going to do much better than 1.5-2 mbps in any event.

4. AT&T has demonstrated such a lack of interest in even fixing basic problems in the Microcell ecosystem that the idea that they'd actually make any improvements to it doesn't seem terribly reasonable.
