micro cell registered to another att customer!

I recently received my replacement Micro Cell from AT&T, but when I try to activate it, there is a red notice at the top of the page that states, this micro cell is registered to another AT&T customer.  Please contact the AT&T customer to have them deactivate the micro cell, before you can activate the micro cell.

@icountry Yeah, that is a real problem because only the original owner can de-register it. You need to call customer service and have a second replacement sent to you.

I'm going to cc @OttoPylot, since he is the micro cell Guru.

That's a new one to me. Sounds like AT&T replaced it with a refurbed/returned unit that wasn't deactivated by the owner and QC/QA either didn't bother to check or didn't know how to remove it from the account (which, to be honest is difficult to do.

You did use the serial number of the replacement MicroCell to register it and not the serial number that was already on your account from the old MicroCell? Did they send you a white or black model with a new ac adapter?
