Service downgraded without my permission, now can't be upgraded

Currently experiencing one of the worst experiences I've had with any service. I called in last week to see about upgrading my service or somehow improving latency I had with my DSL service. The agent I spoke with told me if I got home phone service then I may see improved performance. After the switch was completed, let it be known I received no emails with order details and couldn't look up any order details online, I had been reduced from 3mbps to 768Kbps. Being a that I have yearly subscriptions to gaming and video services I am now unable to use the internet for what I need it for. AT&T reps are not helping resolve the issue either. I am continuosly told that I can only get a max of 768kbps when just 2 days ago I had mbps. Agents keep sending me to to lines that are closed or agents who push me on to somewhere else. I really need some advice on where to take this. Perhaps an executive team or someone who can fix this once and for all.
