Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

Our company signed up with SBC Yahoo Small Business account in 2005 when we signed up for DSL  We have since moved onto uverse in March 2013.  Since this past weekend, we no longer have access to our business email accounts that were set up with our domain name. We can get into our "main" email accounts with the @sbcglobal.net email acccounts just fine but the email accounts with our domain name as a suffix  @domain.com have completely disappeared.  These are the accounts that our entire business used day in and day out and are critical to our business.  If you could please help us it would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

The same has happened to me.   my small biz domain @novedventures.com disappeared along with access to email.   The account used to be linked to my personal att/yahoo email and I could switch back and forth between the two email accounts.   Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

I run a small business and have relied on AT&T for 18 months for email, webhosting, tech support, back up & go, telephone, wifi, iPhone and iPad service. My primary communication with clients is via my AT&T small business email @domainname.com. Me email address @domainname.com stopped working completely early in the morning on December 11th. I had no access to email service for about 14 hours, the lifeline of my business. Once server access was restored, the prior 18 months of email communications had completely disappeared, from client folders on the email screen, to my inbox, my sent folder and my trash folder. All prior communications gone! Also, although new emails are now coming in, I still have received nothing from the 14 hours or so when @domainname.com was not accessible. I have spent hours on the telephone with tech support; although I was initially "guaranteed" the information could/would be recovered, I was told on my most recent call tonight that it is not recoverable. I cannot believe this is the case, I am terribly disappointed, and I am looking for any advice on how to fix this horrific situation.

Re: Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

Did you ever find a solution to this problem?  Were you able to retrieve your emails?  I know of a few clients with a similar problem, and as yet, still unresolved.

Re: Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

No, my problem is still not resolved, despite hours spent on the phone with AT&T webhosting, tech support, and the small business group that sold me the service (not to mention my message to this forum; I just sent the private message suggested above). Webhosting is supposed to be working on the issue, but has failed to make any progress. I have been told that my account was "missed" in the migration to the new server, which means all of our prior communications should be on the prior server, but no one will restore the information, which is critical to our operations. There is an open ticket, but no progress to report each time a call (after a week!!!!). The situation is absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe the lack of concern or effort to restore our client communications. Frankly, I am disgusted.

Re: Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

Hello A-B-H, I see that you still have an open case with our support team but unfortunately I can't see what the status is. Are you still working with one of our specialists?

Thank you,

Dmitriy

Re: Lost email with Yahoo Small Business

Mariana referred my problem to a "manager" who told me I needed to contact Yahoo. We have never had any affiliation with Yahoo; we signed up for webhosting directly with AT&T small business services. I responded and explained this, but received no further response or help. I continue to wait for webhosting to "expedite" my ticket to restore our prior client communications; no progress to report. This has been going on for nearly three weeks. Absolutely ridiculous.
