Internet connection keeps disconnecting on me?

I currently have u-verse and I'm directly connected to my 2Wire router using an ethernet cable. The problem is that my internet connection will disconnect randomly every five to ten minutes. I've went to my router's page and reset everything to default settings. I've also tried to go to the command prompt and did all the ipconfig command. I also disconnected my entire network system and plugged everything back in. No luck. When my internet is working, it works just fine without any slow speeds. However, the minute or two of downtime trying to reconnect really hurts when I'm playing online games. This problem happens to every single computer/phone/tablet in my house. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it?

When your Internet disconnects, what are the lights on the 2WIRE router (aka Residential Gateway or RG) doing, I'm thinking especially of the Broadband and Service lights.

 

You can also go to the stats on the 2WIRE and see if your modem is doing re-syncs.  Or download, install and run the tool from www.UVrealtime.com, and screenshot/post the IP, Error and Bitloading tabs for us to review.
