If I cancel my DSL can I keep my @sbcglobal.net email account and access it?

If I cancel my DSL can I keep my @sbcglobal.net email account and access it? All the posts are unclear and talk of merging and unmerging accounts - I just want to know if I can keep my @sbcglobal.net - I don't use a Yahoo email and I log into view my mail from  mail.yahoo.com. Thank you!

I also have my sbcglobal.net email address that I've had for years.  I have had no issues using it with Outlook 2010 until about 6 weeks ago. I can't send email anymore (I can receive).  I've tried changing all my email account settings to inbox.att.net/outbox.att.net and setting my ports to those indicated on the ATT page.  No luck!  I've sent a private message with hopes I get a reply back!  Would really appreciate some guidance.
