2wire 2701 errors

I have just upgraded my service from 3.0 to 6.0.

The last time I did this (a year ago) the same thing happened.

At the 3.0 speed, it is slow (usually 1.5) but rarely disconnects or errors.

At the 6.0 speed I get errors (disconnects or pauses) every minute or so.

 

In the current 15 minute period I've had 216 corrected blocks and 1399 in the last 24 hrs.

Each time this happens the data stops and then restarts or the browser times out.

 

The last time I had the 6.0 service I called for service several times but never got anyone that could fix the issue.

 

The pauses are very annoying and disruptive.

 

Is there any fix?  Or perhaps a different modem/gateway?
