Hi Bill! AT&T offers Internet Security Suite powered by Mcafee which is absolutely free! All you need to do is to follow these simple steps: 1. Type in att.software.yahoo.com on your browser (preferably internet explorer). 2. Sign in using your primary email account (@att.net) and password. 3. Click on download for AT&T Internet Security Suite and just follow the prompts. Also, check this link first before installing for more detailed information about the software. http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB401329&ct=9000117 Goodluck! :smileyhappy:

I'am trying to do the above steps to install the free McAfee internet security. But after a few steps I get to a page were it says " Please select the service you are attempting to access" and I'am not sure where to go from there.

hi again bunner!

you may not be able to download the software today. it looks like the download server for the att iss by mcafee is down. i also tried to download it on my other computer, got nothing.

btw, did you get the same " Please select the service you are attempting to access" message when you went to the att.software.yahoo.com site?

You can download Spybot Search & Destroy < http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html >and/or Malware Bytes < http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=d... >. AVG FREE < http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition?cmpid=fr_bn_free_670 > is a good, stable, low overhead anti-virus program. They have regular automatic updates, and it protects IE & system settings. I've been using this heady cocktail of FREE computer protection for several years & it has been VERY effective. My wallet likes it too!

It isn't free to all extreme subscribers. If you are running windows vista 64 bit, the software will not download. Only you wont find that out until you go through the trouble of uploading it to your hardrive first. No one at bell south seems to know where or when this will be addressed if ever. my guess is they will wait for windows 7 . I find it very unfair and i think i will be looking for a new internet service provider, there goes another cable convert (maybe).
