What package is the marquee sports network going to be available on ?

I do not believe that it is available on NOW. What locals and sports that you may received can be checked here

Hello,

That’s not yet launched to know at this point. Especially since it’s a Illinois/Chicago area network exclusively. See this page to enter your info and see what providers have announced it will be included. Launch shows 02/22/2020:

also the same 721. I called and was told that it's tech difficulties but that my regional sports package will include it. I am in Seattle, not Chicago. I hope I was given correct info because I've seen other claims it would only be for Chicago area customers. Anyone know for sure?

@ronsou1 you might have the channel but you wont be able to watch live Cub games because of MLB blackout rules

@Jeffster No, I will get the games themselves because I also subscribe to MLB Extra Innings / MLB.TV and I am out-of-market - transplanted Chicagoan living in Seattle. The games might get shown on a channel in the 700s with the other paid MLB games rather than #664, but it will still be the Cubs/Marquee telecast. My particular concern is not for the games - I am confident about that aspect. I'm interested in Marquee for general Chicago sports coverage, Cubs pre and post game shows, etc.

Marquee shows up in the guide, I have the right package it seems (and confirmed that on the phone with a Directv agent), but as of now I get a 721 error. Directv agent told me it's just a temporary glitch. I hope she is right but I'm not so sure. Time will tell.

Yeah - I am still on the old Choice Xtra package - not listed anymore on Directv sites. Will this package get Marquee? (Methinks no one knows the answer to these questions.)

The Marquee Sports Network is included in the Choice Xtra package, but if you aren't getting it, we are investigating this issue and once it has been resolved, service will be restored to the channels affected. There is no estimated time of resolution.

Glad to hear it's working for others. It is still not working for me. Day 6 of this nightmare (joking.) Is it NOT working for others who should be getting this channel, or is this fairly unique to me? (If it's just me, I would again call, but that is always a time sink and I would prefer not to.) Thank you.

I've refreshed my receiver both locally (the button on the actual receiver) and through the web portal. Still getting the 721 error code. No updates. Anyone else have any luck?

@bcbsncjlj Correct - I have done that. But the only answer is that they are aware of the issue. No status or timetable. I find it useful on this forum to see if the issue is widespread or narrow/unique to me.

Today I called Directv tech supporty once again. After 20 minutes of the agent sending refreshes to my receiver, and having me reboot (both of which I have done dozens of times) she came back with this information: She claimed that Marquee, ch 664, will only be available in the Chicago area regardless of what package you subscribe to. (I live in Seattle. A Chicago transplant.) i.e. If her information is correct, this is a permanent situation, not a temporary one.

This is 100% contrary to what other agents have told me - they have said it is just a temporary glitch they are working on. ( And if this is the real situation, it was pointless to have her send my receiver refreshes and have me reboot. )

But it could be correct - I have tried unsuccessfully to find anything definitive about this online. I have sent an inquiry to the Marque themselves, but no answer so far. I am not too concerned about getting regular season Cubs games because I subscribe to MLB Extra Innings. I am interested in it for general Chicago sports coverage.

Is anyone outside the Chicago area currently getting this channel?

@ronsou1 I think for regional sports purposes I am in the Ohio/Cincinnati Area, not in the Chicago region. I was told that all of the packages except the bottom two would get Marquee. I am on the grandfathered Total Choice Ultra (or some such name) and I have the channel. Tho it did take a week or two for it to appear. It seems people are still getting conflicting responses to this, which really is unacceptable. Your service rep shouldn't have had to go thru all of that troubleshooting, if that last answer he/she gave is true. They should have the actual situation outlined in writing there in front of them. Cynical me says that the person got tired of trying things, and they dropped that on you.

After MANY conversations and hours on the phone being told repeatedly that my RSN package would carry Marquee Network, I learned a few days that was not true. I upgraded from Entertainment to Choice, dropped the RSN package, and the price difference was an extra $5 a month. Had this been explained properly to me 6 weeks ago..........

It remains frustrating that with repeated calls to Directv, one cannot get a definitive answer. And I've emailed Marquee too, with no reply.

It seems evident at this point that the answer is you must be in the Chicago area to get Marquee for non-game programming. SOME CSRs have told me this, but others have said the exact opposite. (Five calls in total.) Why there cannot be a definitive statement on this, available on their website, is baffling. As is why they have one keep rebooting and refreshing the receiver.

It can't be a matter of what package one is subscribed to, as I have the Premier package and also subscribe to MLB Extra Innings. There is nothing left that could be related.

I've just resigned myself to this reality for the foreseeable future.
