account login

I activated my new  account for ATT TV , in the process also entered my account login ID w/ PW.. to complete the

update downloads.  When that was all completed. , I changed to another APP on my smart TV. when I returned to ATT TV

I was prompted for my login again.. is this normal ? do I need to login to my ATT TV account each time I open the APP?

This procedure was a common problem last year using Direct TV Now as a subscriber.

This need to sign in every time  I go to this app should not exist today.

Nope. If it accepts your credentials then it should be required again unless you logged out of the service.

Good afternoon @tommac72,

Typically, AT&T TV doesn't prompt you to keep entering your credentials, unless there's been an update, the app has been reinstalled, or the cache had been cleared.

For your Smart TV, is there a box that prompts you to stay signed in?

I'm pretty sure a "not" was missing in that response.

I've gone a year without having to log in again on an Osprey (AT&T streamer) and longer on other devices.  I did see reports that some people were forced to re-login often, but I don't know if was ever figured out what the difference in configuration or usage was between people who had that issue and people who didn't.
