What happened to the "Pause AutoPay" option?
What happened to the "Pause AutoPay" option? I used this often in order to pay my bills properly because ATT takes forever to charge your bank or card and waited almost 10+ days for my bank to show the payment cleared. We used to be able to pause autopay in order to make manual payments - and I have been with ATT for decades and have never had a late payment! Now, I cannot pay when I want ahead of the due date without autopay charging a second time for the same amount. The only option they offer with this change is to turn off autopay which means you get charged $10 per phone line ($40 for me)! When I just want to pay my bills on time and in a timely manner! How ignorant is this forced compliance tactic, seriously? I think it is time to pay off these phones and move on from ATT. The company has already proven to be unethical with the loss of the recent unlimited service (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines) against them, I cannot see how this is much further from that. When I agreed to be with ATT, they said they would not penalize early payments... and now that is a lie. Thanks for 20yrs of nothing. Just another big, money-grubbing, cash cow that cares nothing for their loyal and responsible customers.

Yup. You're supposed to leave it alone and let auto pay do its thing.
Just like the current plans on the other 2 big carriers, that also offer auto pay and paperless billing discounts of $10 per phone line on all of their current plans

I am curious why my mention of a (Edited per community guidelines) (Edited per community guidelines) was deleted. It is public information. It does not violate community standards. Interesting censorship ATT.

Well whatever it was it's been removed again. Perhaps you did not read the community guidelines here's the link
https://www.att.com/legal/terms.forumguidelines.html
Certain words trigger The Forum Bots and they will remove those words. So you did violate Community standards and the Bots have removed it.
I think you'll find you broke one of these:
Please refrain from discussing personal matters or, in general, from posting content in a manner unrelated to the resolution of issues regarding AT&T products and services. Other inappropriate or unacceptable behavior includes: a) discussing how to violate any policy or agreement entered into with AT&T for any product or service, b) posting content which is created solely to “bump” an existing topic or to evade the word filter or site logic; c) double-posting or cross-posting; and d) discussing participant bans or other Moderator actions. The Community Forum is not a venue for discussion of legal matters. Therefore, no such discussions are permitted. We reserve the right to delete inappropriate material.

From the context, I expect that this was the broken rule

It is a very disappointing development. I certainly have no intention of canceling autopay, since I pay more than enough as it is- but taking away the option to suspend autopay corners me into using only one method of payment when often I might prefer to use another
