Was outside the country but had autopay on for 10 months.

Hi,

I was outside the country but had autopay on through my debit card. Now, I see that I have paid $44.45/month for 10 months and have lost $444.50. Since my phone was not used for these months (not a single call was made, message received, or any data used), how can I request for a refund for this amount?

I called the customer service representative, but she did not fully comprehend my problem and the only solution I received was that my card can be blocked permanently from these transactions. I do not wish to block my card as I am back in the US, but would like to specifically ask for a refund for the previous transactions incurred.

Was this a wireless (cell phone) account or an INTERNET account?

It does not matter whether there were no calls, messages or data used. There is no refund for not using your phone.

By paying for service each month, you are explicitly telling AT&T that you want the service. That's how prepaid service works---you pay, AT&T gives you the service you requested.
