Usage information.

As early as last year, 12/2016, I was able to track the usage by phone.  I could see all the text messages by myself, out, and by who texted my, in.  Why did you take that away?  As a consumer I would like to have that capability back.  What is the point of having the capability to view usage if you don't show it?

another point it isn't on the bill either.

Hi there @Mafalda!

I completely understand wanting to be able to track usages for text messages on your device. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I would be more than happy to assist you in this matter.

There are a few different ways to track wireless talk, text and data usage on your device. We do try to update your usage to your online account as fast as possible for you; however it is usually updated every three hours for your account. Usage information also may not be available during the time your bill is being processed.

In order to view your usage, you will want to follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your myATT account.
  2. If you have more than one wireless account, select the account you want to manage.
  3. Select the View all usage button next to the Billing Cycle bar.
  4. You will see an overview of your recent usage (since last bill).
  5. To view usage details by device, select the view usage details link located under the member name.
  6. Text/Data usage details will display for the selected device.
  7. To view Text/Data usage details for another device, locate the Device drop-down and select a different device.

I hope this has been insightful! Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community Forums. Have a great rest of your week.
