Trying to get account info?
It's like pulling teeth to get account info fromm AT&T. They sent me to collections and when I call cs, they've mo idea why or what to do about it. How do I get them to fix my credit report if they can't even find me in their system?

Credit report disputes should be done with the credit bureau

What do you want them to do about it? ATT is not going to fix your credit report. There is only one reason for being sent to collections, none payment.

Your account was "sold" to the collection agency. That's probably why they can't find your account.
You need to contact said collection agency to see what your options are.

A shout out to those with insight, not just blatant, bitter comments like ol' Mr. Sandblaster. When you walk into a store and cancel your subscription, then receive an acknowledgement email with a zero balance. As well as receive the instructions to unlock the phone you financed with them. Never missed a prior payment and been loyal since they were PacTel. But years later you discover they decided to add another month of service even though I was then using that phone with TMobile and had completely deleted all associations with AT&T. So you're saying that they weren't responsible for sending me to collections and should have no obligation to rectify the damage this has caused? I'll be interested in hearing your definition of customer service when you try to leave the dark side and progress towards righteousness. PS, I filed a dispute with TransU and received a resolution letter stating the charge was dropped but my score will still be affected till 2026.

Not what happened...
Except you ported out part way into a new bill cycle.
Well, my bill was paid on the 28th, so my balance is zero. All our phones were paid off.
BUT, I am partway through a new bill cycle (11th to 10th) which I will get billed for somewhere around the or 15th of August.
This is how it works with most postpaid. You should know when your bill cycle ends, and you should know that if you were leaving in the middle of a bill cycle you will have another bill that you should pay.
T-mo and Verizon work the same way - postpaid (pay after) and does not prorate your final months bill.
The facts are At&t didn't get paid for the final month, and sent bill to collections. It's a bell you can't unring. Paying it would have looked better than getting it dropped, as it will show.
