Tried and Tried to get my bill decombined and they won't do it!!! Won't issue Credits

When I first signed up for ATT wireless and Direct TV they told me I should combine my bills.  It never was combined but they gave me a uverse account number.  It has been nothing but a headache.  Everytime I have to call in the wireless people can't help me because they can't access my bill.  Most of the time they hang up on me when trying to get me to Unitfied billing.  I asked to have my bill de-combined to change my wireless account number back to a regular number and I was told it was not necessary to change back that everything is fine!?!?!?  I don't want a Uverse account number if I don't have Uverse.  

 

Also, was given a 99.00 credit from a store in Albany NY which posted to my account on November 7.  Got a text message that said you have a credit that will come off your next bill and guess what.....next bill came and no credit off the total and then the credit mysteriously disappeared.  Now, no one knows anything.  I got my sister to switch three lines to ATT from Verizon.  I have five lines with my family on ATT and directv which I switched from Dish.  I would think that I would at least be able to get some help!!  My sister got Directv and the installer knicked her electrical line to her water pump and she had no water for 24 hours.  Was promised compensation plus a Visa gift card for switching.  Guess What.....nothing happened.  We spent hours on the phone with Direct TV and they even told me they would put a 100.00 referral credit on my account for having her sign up.  Guess what???  NOTHING.  I really hope someone from ATT reads this and can help.  I work in consumer advocacy and was steering people toward ATT but won't be able to do that any more until there is some resolution.  Any insight or similiar experience would be great to read about.

AT&T wont read this this is a public customer to customer forum one of the expert wireless customers may chime in on the situation like @lizdance40 but be forewarned she is not at&t nor employed by at&t. there are different timelines for different things , your 100 credit for the referral may have to wait 90 days with active service before its applied (otherwise people will sign up and cancel immediately) do you have at&t for home internet? if so that would explain the uverse billing as all home internet now days is labeled uverse.

since that you have combined billing, you should call combined billing dept

then enter your uverse ban

then combined billing

then agent

 

all of your concerns should be addressed to that dept especially billing concerns.

In addition to the above suggestions for contact, you can reach advanced support by private message here @ATTCares. Or @ATTDIRECTVCare

I know ATTCares is swamped and it taking a week to respond, so try DTV first.  

  BTW ATT has insurance for installer errors, but aren’t going to shell out willingly.  Check on the TV forum for how to get ATT to pay for repairs for property damage.
