Transfer of billing response SSN invalid

For the last week, I've attempted to transfer two lines under my name that are currently under another individual's name. One of the lines is mine and the other my brothers.

I've spoken with customer service, analyst review, credit checking team as well as the customer retention team and have visited the store on 3 occasions for the reason. Eacht time I've been given a runaround from one department to another and nobody seems to be able to pin point the issue as to why the SSN comes up as invalid.

I have one electricity utility bill as well as comcast facility under my name that used the same SSN to run credit check on me. I have a credit card and a FT paid job and yet ATT is unable to set up an account under my name and give me no valid reason.

I'm considering approaching consumer services bureau to highlight this case to them since if I exit ATT I'm being asked (or the guy who officially owns the account is being asked) to pay an early termination fee. ATT needs to get its act together and own its faults here

There is a good chance someone transposed numbers when recording the ssn.
Your correct number would be on your tax forms and of course, your social security card.
I suggest you take one of these to the store and have them carefully enter the SSN.

No. I personally entered in the SSN each time they asked me for it as well as showed them the SSN card when they requested as well.

They just cannot figure it out on their end. And the customer retention team wants me to go verify with the SSN office. Absolute joke
