Store - Add a line for trade in phone. Cancel line after 6 months?
I was at an att store yesterday & they said I could add a line on my account to do the trade in. Then at 6 months, I could cancel that line that was added.
I can't find this info anywhere & want to make sure this is correct.
I already have 4 lines on my account.

That information is very misleading. Sure, you can cancel any line anytime you want but you will lose your trade in credits. A new line is not required for any trade in deal but if you do get a new line and new phone on that line, cancelling that line will cause you to lose the trade in credits and you would be billed for the remainder owed on that phone.
