Smart Label Tracking////UNWANTED BILL
I returned my damaged phone via instructions from AT&T, with a prepaid label in July 2022. I dropped the packed to the Post Office. I tried tracking my package serval times on www.tracking.smartlabel.com . To date, there is no information about my returned package.
I received a text message 9/16/2022 reminding me from AT&T to return my damaged device. I have CALLED AT&T SEVERAL TIMES questioning what can I do about this missing package and them charging my bill for an item that has been returned 2 months ago.
I was told to contact Smartlabel and they told me to contact AT&T. Then AT&T diverted me back to Asurion (smartlabel). So basically back and forth for a couple of days. And still no information about my returned package. I WILL NOT BE PAYING $490.00 FOR A BROKEN DAMAGED PHONE I RETURNED!!!
The moment this phone is charged to my bill. I will be filing a complaint with my State Attorney's office because I've noticed that since receiving the text message about the non returned item, AT&T and smartlabel are doing this to a lot of people and has been for a very long time. Hence, moving forward I will never use their smartlabel again. I will take all my returns to a AT&T store.
help PLEASE

@Tonos270
It is really poor etiquette to post your problem on somebody else's thread. You should be making your own thread

@pa69321
Do you have any proof that your package was mailed. For example a receipt with a tracking number confirmation from the post office? Or any tracking from the smart label?
With no tracking record in the system, there is no proof that you mailed back your old phone. Without proof that you put it in the mail you are financially responsible.
If you did have proof that you mailed the phone and the tracking records show that it was put into the system that would remove your responsibility because you would not be the shipper.

Exact same thing happened to me! It's frustrating, and now I'm being charged a non-return fee.
