Refund

Went in a store in March to switch my five years numb from Cricket to AT&T. Phillip took care of me. He made a big mistake, instead $75 monthly plan, he put my numb on 75GB plan. That was it. They couldn't switch it back, I couldn't get a new plan, or anything. I paid them $105 for that, and spent almost 2 days in a store for 1-2 hours of work 🤬 The store manager involved too late, she was busy doing nothing in her office.

Since then, I keep calling AT&T, because the store manager told me they will send me a refund check in a mail. Never happened. They said you have to go back to the store, you paid for a prepaid account so there is no refund back, and store guys keep saying like No, you have to call this and that number,...

Perfect store for losing money, time and old numbers. Losing a customer who was paying like a $1000 a year for $100 of his own money.

The store is located at 2721 TX-121 Suite 100, Euless, TX 76039.

Since March I keep calling these numbers :

8003310500
8002882020

8668951099

8666083007

It was for a prepaid account, so there is no refund they said, even if it's not my mistake, I didn't want to close the account, just to change a plan, but the store guys had to close it.

There is no such thing as a 75 gig plan, never has been. There is both a postpaid and a prepaid $75 plan which includes unlimited talk text and data.

Prepaid does not refund, but what you show about is a bill for a postpaid plan, not prepaid, prepaid has no paperwork, no bill.

If you have closed your postpaid AT&T plan you would receive a check in the mail eventually

I'm not home, but I'll take a pics of the receipts, when they switched me, I only had data, no calls no texts.

You said you activated in March. This bill is from March. If this is for a postpaid account and you cancelled it, you would have received another statement. You probably do not have a credit balance after the final bill cycled. Also, you would not get a check for a refund, you would receive a card if eligible. AT&T no longer issues paper checks.

That's a final bill. The account was open on 2nd, and closed on March 3rd.

If you paid $105 it should say payment, not adjustment. If an adjustment was applied as a courtesy that would not be refunded. What does it say the adjustment was for?

They tried to refund me $104.34 somehow, I didn't care how's gonna be on my statement. Next day they said the only option is a new number, which I took, but prepaid this time, and I paid $60.64.

Now I am confused. The bill you posted shows an adjustment of $105, that is not a payment. That's why I asked what does it say the adjustment was for? What probably happened was a courtesy credit was applied to the account for $105 to offset any charges due on that bill. I see you paid them on your credit card statement but without seeing what the adjustment was coded as I cannot tell anything about it.

Ask store manager why did she put courtesy credit instead refund or anything else. The manager told me we can't refund you bcs you paid for a prepaid numb, but we'll try with this. Obviously she knew what's gonna happen. Now you guys are telling me it was a postpaid account. Ask the store manager what her employees did, I'm a customer, not employee. I went there for a simple task, and paid fairly.

The bill that you showed in your first post is a postpaid bill.   Prepaid has no bill and no paperwork so you would never receive anything mailed or with an address and account number.

Good to know, one more question for store employees on table. I was asking for prepaid, which I took 2 days after.

Prime.   Well it makes more sense now.  Prime is a large franchisee.   They run amok, and AT&T should cut them loose.

Philip put you on prepaid, he just didn't activate your number correctly.  No clue why other than Phillip may have astonishingly low IQ.

This is also why At&t isn't helping, it's not AT&T's "mistake".   Prime has to fix this, and refund or credit the charges.  How they created a postpaid account with a bill with a credit balance baffles.   There is something extra shifty going on.

I'm tagging in a Community manager so that an AT&T rep sees this.

Thanks. The manager, young blonde girl, she involved too late, even she didn't know how to solve the issue. I spend there almost two days, I saw late that the store isn't real AT&T.

File an FCC or BBB complaint.

I'm disturbed you didn't get a reply this week.

Thanks for your help, but I don't have time or energy for that. I'm simply going with some other carrier. If they don't care, I don't care too. They are losing a customer who would pay like a $1000 per year for a $100. I gave them like a donation, they should use it to pay a (Edited per community guidelines) fees when they file for a bankruptcy, they have my permission lol
