Online Bill Pay

When I make payments online and I change the date I want the payment to post, as soon as I hit 'submit' the payment is immediately posted and I end up messing up my checking account. This has been happening for months and they haven't fixed it!

Hi @Candilynn26, we completely understand that you’re having trouble to change the date, or post the bill.

In order to help you with you're concern, we'd like to know a bit more of what's happening :

  • Do you have an AT&T postpaid, prepaid, or data-only account and service?
  • Since when you're facing this ?

Reach back to us with more specific details to help determine the cause.

Thank you for reaching out to our AT&T Community.

Since April. I have postpaid service for 20 plus years. When using the "split payment" feature, the dates I choose revert to the current date.

Hello @Candilynn26, we hear you, and wanted to help get this sorted.

Greetings and salutations! We want to make managing your account as easy as possible; we do have an online option for you.

I understand how important it is to split a payment. The best way to split a payment will be to set up a payment arrangement. This can be done online via myAT&T. Please follow the directions below to set up a payment arrangement.

1.  Go to Make a Payment.

2.  Follow the prompts to complete the form.

3.  Select Continue.

4.  Review your payment details, then select Submit to complete your scheduled payment.

You can modify your payment arrangement. Please click on this link and scroll down to Change a scheduled payment. The late payment fee will still apply, and you may still receive past due notifications.

I hope this helps!
