No reimburse after service cancellation

I cancel my account some months ago. I switched services at the beginning of the last month of service. However the reimburse I received has nothing to do with I paid in that last month of service. I should have received the prorated amount of the service that was not used which was like 21 days. I have made some calls but the representatives transfer me to another "special" line where nobody takes my call. They are playing for me to get tired. What could be a good recommendation of how to proceed or how to escalate this problem?

AT&T (and most of the other wireless providers) do not prorate final months fees.

No, you shouldn't have. That's not how it works. Accounts are closed at the end of the billing cycle whether you use it or not.

Service for cellular, TV and internet services for all, or nearly all providers is month to month, with no proration on cancelation.  AT&T does not prorate final bills.  So no refund is due.

@nixpulvis It’s not relevant. ATT does not prorate the final bill unless state law says they should. That article is about a state with such a law.

It's only relevant if you live in Maine and cancel cable TV service.
