Loathe liars
Switched from my mobile carrier that I have been with for many years to att last week! The salesman was new, but very accommodating! I had spoken with several agents on the computer prior to going to the store. I knew that as a teacher and a graduate student I would likely have discounts coming my way. I purchased two iphones. I gave my school name(i was still wearing my name tag) and info *which does show on my account. I have a message stating I will recieve 17 percent off and waved activation fees... but that's all I got. My bill is extremely high, there's no discount and each phone has an additional 30 dollar activation fees. Is there any one who can help me here or do I need to go to the store and get rude for being lied to?
. Bottom line: stick to what you say you'll do. I get that a sale is important, but it should never prohibit honesty!

Double check your eligibility here before doing anything else: https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/iru-check-for-discount.html
Keep in mind that the unlimited plans do not qualify for discounts, so that might explain why you're not getting that.

There are no corporate or school or teacher discounts on either unlimited plan. The only discounts on either unlimited plan are military and autopay. It will do no good to complain. If you want your 17% discount, you need to switch to a shared data plan. Now, you might be able to get those activation fees back if your discount really does include waived activation fees but the email you got could have been wrong.

school name & it’s identifying #—also is stated I will recieve 17% discount
& also there is a spot to include waved activation fee. None of this has
been taken off the bill & given the information you’ve provided me, seems
there is nothing i can do except pay the full amount?! You may have
experience with this, but it’s incredibly confusing to know what was said
online & in the store-opposed to what is being shown now! ##- Please type

UPDATE:
After school, i was able to call & speak to a customer service representative. She not only walked me through everything...she honored what I was originally told! This only took a few minutes!!! I am very pleased and so grateful!!
Big thank you to AT&T!
