Issue with Buy-Out Promo - Verizon to AT&T

Hello,

I switched from Verizon to AT&T in early August. AT&T gave me I believe $120 each for the 2 phones I had that were still on a payment through Verizon. I received my bill from Verizon with the charges on it, with me owing $360/phone. I submitted the bill to AT&T and it was rejected with not having enough info on it. The problem is that on the bill, Verizon doesn't tell you which phone number the charges are for, just an agreement number. Under the phone numbers, it also doesn't show the agreement number. So all it shows is that I owe for 2 different agreements, which is not enough detail for AT&T.

Has anyone else who switched from Verizon received another bill? I have not contacted them yet, and I will, but I'm trying to see if someone else has gone through this and can help shed some light as well.

Hello @dmc32986,

Thank you for reaching out on the Community Forums.  Welcome to AT&T, the switcher program is a great way to switch.  I would be happy to help.

Make sure the bill is the final bill from Verizon and make sure to highlight or circle the required information before submitting.  Many customers have found the corporate stores helpful in locating and highlighting the correct information.  Please use our Store Locator to find the closest store.

You can also contact the company who handles the Switcher promotion for further instructions or suggestions.  I hope this information helps, and please have a marvelous rest of your day!

I second Jessica's recommendation to find a company store.  Noting the phone numbers next the phone payments is probably what they're looking for.

I found out what the problem was. It was a complete miss on my part. When submitting the bill, I didn't look through ALL of the "sample bill" images. The one I missed was basically a snap shot of a Verizon bill. With Verizon, the final bill only shows you paying towards an agreement number, it doesn't show the phone number it's tied to or the type of phone. On the sample image, there was a note requesting that the phone number associated with each agreement number be written on the bill before submitting.

I'm hoping this can help anyone else who may miss this and be as confused as I was.
