iPhone 12 Trade In Monthly Plan

I just went online and traded in my iPhone XR for the iPhone 12, and I am supposed to go pick up the phone in store today. The trade in was supposed to be $70 due today, and then $5/month from then on. When I placed the order, I got an email saying that it is now $31.56/month, which is not what it told me when I confirmed my order.

The $31.56 is the full price of the phone divided by 30. It does not include the $800 in credits for the trade in which you won’t get until the trade in is completed. Once you start getting the credits, the difference should be $5.

Im not seeing my credit for phone I traded in either. What a scam. I have spent countless hours trying to straighten this out. REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I went through the same thing; I was told, however, by a store representative that the device would then be mailed into AT&T’s warehouse and officially processed there. Several weeks later, a back-credit was automatically generated for the account, but the $700 trade-in credit was divided and to be applied in installments each month, as opposed to a lump sum.

What I’m getting at is this: Even though the trade-in device was provided to the local store, it was not actually processed by them. The credit should apply after several weeks, but I believe the fine print says to allow 1-3 billing cycles. Also, the form in which the credit is issued - installments versus lump sum, in my case.
