International Texting - does it charge me?
My friend recently went to India to visit family, and her dad had bought her international texting. it is regular SMS texts and not iMessages. If I do not have an international plan, but she does and it is an American number, do I get charged to send/receive texts?

As long as you are on a Mobile Share Value Plan, texting internationally from the United States is free. Details here: https://m.att.com/shopmobile/wireless/international/modals/unlmtd-intl-texting.html

In this case, it does not matter whether the OP has Mobile Share or not since the friend's number is not an international number, it is a US number that happens to be roaming out of the country. To the OP, texting your friend while she is out of the country is the same as texting her when she is at home. You won't get charged anything extra to send or receive texts from her while she is out of the country.
