International Day Pass

How does International Day Pass billing work? I will be out of the country from May 31st-June14th. If I get international day pass on my phone, will I be charged $100 max or since the time will span billing periods will it be $100 from May 31 -June10 and $40 more for the new  billing period starting June 11th? Also what do the taxes and other fees add up to?

You are charged the $10 each day you have chargeable usage, meaning a call, a sent text or data usage. If you don't have any chargeable usage, you are not charged. Once you have chargeable usage, all usage is then covered for 24 hours. So say you send a text at 10am and that is the first usage of that day. All usage until 10am the next day is now covered. If you leave data roaming off and only turn it on when you want to use data, that will prevent unintended data usage and will stop you from being charged if you don't make any calls or send any texts. You won't be charged any more than $100 in a billing cycle, so if your trip runs over two billing cycles, yes you could be charged more than $100. Taxes are zip code dependent but I believe you can expect $2-3 per daily charge.

I am travelling next month too, 2 weeks in Europe. My intent is to only have chargeable usage 2-3 days, so I should only get charged $20-$30 plus taxes and even though my trip will fall over my bill cycle, it won't matter.

How do you know if Day Pass is turned on?? Is it listed as an option in your account?

Hey there @path23dv, we'll be happy to help explain how International Day Pass shows up on your account.

International Day Pass is an add-on, which means it'll be listed as such on your account. If you're signed up for it, it'll be considered active on your line. You'll be able to view it on your account by going to My devices, select the line with International Day Pass on it, and choose Manage add-ons. If you no longer want the add-on, you'll be able to remove it from there.

@sandblaster gave a great explanation about how the International Day Pass works, and you can see more details about it yourself on the add-on's sales page
