Autopay is taken 2 days before your due date unless you use a credit card, in which case it’s taken 8 days after the start of the bill cycle. You can’t change that. As noted, the only way to change is request a change in your bill cycle dates.

I just updated my payment info for Autopay today and received an email as if I had just enrolled. Confusing, and left me briefly wondering if somehow I'll see a double payment next month. Please improve your auto-responses so they are more situation-specific.

We are here to help you with your Autopay concerns, @gblinzer.

Thank you to the ACE's @formerlyknownas and @sandblaster for that great information. As the ACE stated, we can change your billing cycle for you. Let us know if that is something you would like to do, and we can invite you in to a Direct Message to process that for you.

Also, we understand how that notification can cause some confusion. Just to clarify, the Autopay notification you received, is just confirming that your Autopay has been successfully updated and active on the account. There will not be a double payment unless you made a payment before your autopay is scheduled to take out. In this case, all you did was update the card, so it can draft from the correct credit card.

When updating your payment method, if you choose is the same payment type as before, the update takes effect immediately.

Example: You’re using a checking account and changing to a different checking account.

If the payment method you choose is a different payment type, the change may take up to two business days. Until the change is complete, we’ll make automatic payments using your previous card or bank account.

Example: You’re using a debit card and changing to a checking account.

We hope this information helps! We look forward to your response.
