Horrible customer service

On 4/10/23 at 4:30pm I called AT&T about my bill being $86 higher than normal. I was told that both lines on my account were charged international day charges from 3/8/24 -3/12/24 and that towers stated I was in the Dominican Republic. The first person I spoke to said I’m responsible for the charges because I traveled internationally I said to him 3 times I haven’t been out of the country in years maybe since 2019 and my son is a minor that’s who the other line belongs to and he wasn’t out the country either. He repeated himself and said Im responsible for it. I asked to speak to a supervisor she said the same thing I said to her I’ve called about this last year about my phone roaming and me receiving incorrect charges she said she can reduce the bill I explained to her reducing the bill won’t do me any justice because I’m not responsible for any of the additional charges because I/ We were not out the country she said in an hour she would have her supervisor call me I declined and said I can wait for a transfer because this issue doesn’t need to be pushed under the rug. She then said she found a supervisor to call me and someone called me from a blocked number and said the towers said that I was in the Dominican Republic and he doesn’t know why I’m lying about it there’s nothing to discuss because we both know the truth that I was there. I asked him to repeat himself so that I could record him and he said it again I said ok just to let you know that was completely unprofessional and I recorded you saying that and he said I don’t care this whole call was recorded I said ok and hung up. I work for the government and plan to get a sworn affidavit that I was at work those days in the United States as well as I’ll be having my sons schools records pulled for those dates as well. I have never received such horrible customer service and was called a liar over $86 as well as over an hour of my time was wasted. He should be fired at minimum!

There’s something wrong with this post. International day pass charges a flat $10 rate when you were outside of the USA. If you had said $80 it would make sense. $86 does not
Read your bill.  What does it say the charges are for?

If you feel that the charges on your bill are incorrect and customer service is unwilling to help you.  You can always file a BBB (Better Business Bureau) Complaint.  This type of complaint goes to the corporate office; usually, someone responds quickly to resolve it.  I hope this helps!
