Help from agent to move payment arrangement due today

I have seen some agents answer questions or help with accounts and I have a payment arrangement due today that I need to move or split up another way if possible and I don't want to lose service before I can get someone via phone when they open tomorrow.

I waited on hold for almost 2 hours earlier just to get silence after it finally rang.

Hello, @heatherupchurch we're happy to shed some light on options to manage your payment arrangement.

As mentioned by @Fl_retire, you can manage and update your payment by visiting our Payment arrangement portal. Follow these steps to change the date for your promise to pay.

  1. Go to Make a payment arrangement to see your available payment options.
  2. Pick the date you want to schedule your payment. Heads up: Not all dates are available and late fees* may apply.
  3. Select your payment method and follow the prompts.
  4. Review the payment details and select Submit.

If you don’t see any available payment dates after your due date in the calendar, then you aren’t eligible to schedule a payment arrangement. Also, your payment history may affect the payment methods you can use. Keep in mind that:

  • When making a payment arrangement, you commit to pay with the selected payment method on the chosen date.
  • Payments start to process at 12 a.m. ET on the scheduled payment date.
  • Payment arrangements, or payments scheduled to post after your original bill due date, can’t be changed or canceled.
  • If you use AutoPay, be sure to pause it for the current month. AutoPay will resume the next bill period.

You will need to reach out to our AT&T Collections support team to discuss extended payment arrangement. .

  • For collection-related inquires, contact our team at 1.800.947.5096.

We're here if you have any questions. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

Customer service cannot alter payment arrangements those are done by logging in your account.

Yes, they are the only ones that can when the online payment arrangement won't let you move the date.  I have done it before.

Excerpt from AT&T’s late payment arrangement. Link below on late payment arrangements. Customer Service can no longer assist in the arrangement. Too many individuals have abused the system.

Heads up: Be sure to make your changes at least 1 day before the scheduled payment date. After that, you can’t change or cancel

So what’s your question? My belief is agents can’t override the system but if you say you’ve done it before, ok. No one here can do it, if that’s what you were hoping.
