Getting Bill Reminders: NOT MY ACCOUNT

I keep getting emails from ATT about an account that is not mine.

They have the wrong email address (mine!) for their customer.

Calling ATT does not help.  They say "it will go away"

Meanwhile, their customer is not getting necessary email about their wireless account.

Hello,

We hope you're enjoying your wireless service. We're reaching out to confirm on 07/06/2022, the following payment arrangement was made to pay your bill:

Amount: $115.00 Date: 07/08/2022

To pay your balance today:

Your service was scheduled for suspension on 07/15/2022. However, if you keep this payment arrangement, you'll keep your service too. If we do not receive payment and services are suspended, you'll be charged up to a $35 fee to get your service back. Suspension may impact your ability to upgrade with our best pricing and to qualify for promotional offers and credits. If your past due balance is not paid after suspension, your service may be canceled and your device's wireless network connectivity capabilities may be disabled.

The easiest thing to do is to ignore the occasional emails; maybe set a rule to send emails from AT&T straight to trash if it's really that important to you.

If you decide you absolutely have to have this corrected, file a BBB complaint. Someone from corporate will contact you and that person should have the power to remove your email from another person's account.

Hey there @DRS_408. We hear your concern on receiving wireless bill's not associated with your account.

There is not a way for us to stop you from getting the emails sent to your email account. The account holder would have to contact us to update their email or remove your email from their account. For now, you will just have to trash the emails or mark them as spam.

Thank you for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums.
