Faulty Billing Practices

Heather
Terrible Customer Service Nightmare
To Whom It May Concern,

I have been going around in circles for months about my cellphone bill, ever since I paid off my phone, the monthly rate did not decrease. I was going to cancel my service back in January because being over charged. Every time an agent ensures me that the changes have been made to my account, it reverts back to high charges again. I’ve been ill and unable to handle these issues as they have come up. My monthly rate is supposed to be $65 but somehow it manages to jump up to over $80 every month. I have been overcharged $120 this year and that is being (Edited per community guidelines). I am on social security disability and every penny counts. I’m reaching out to AT&T to correct this issue before filling a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, and the Better Business Bureau. Other steps would include starting the small claims court process or request arbitration. I would like to avoid taking these routes.

My network is limited at busy times. More often then not, if I’m off wifi and trying to use cellular data Friday to Sunday, it’s unsuccessful
I was on the unlimited data plan when I signed my contract. I payed my phone off early so my monthly bill would decrease (this is the incentive for paying your phone off early) In my case, it decreased for a month and then my monthly charges jumped back up to around $80. This has been going on for several months. I call and they set my plan right for the next month and it jumps back up the second month. In the last 8 months I’ve had to deal with the same scenario 4 times or more

The Unlimited Starter plan is $65/month with autopay and paperless billing. That could be around $80 after taxes and fees. What plan does your bill say you're on? You can change to the Unlimited Starter plan yourself; you don't need AT&T help to do that.
