Credit?

Has anyone else been promised a sizable credit on a bill but never received it?

Of course other people have had that happen. Do you have a specific situation in mind or are you just curious?
 
Usually this happens because the customer service reps you speak to on the phone can't authorize large credits so they submit a request to a supervisor who turned it down.

Last month I had a large credit ($892) approved by a supervisor, but no follow-up and the credit wasn’t applied to my latest bill. This issue has been a back and forth since mid-September. After posting my query on the forum I made another call to customer service and learned that a notation was on file that the credit had indeed been approved last month but was being held up, reason unknown. Kudos to the rep, Monica, who followed through on my query and was able to resolve the issue.
