Covid overage charges

I was told that overage charges would be waived through June 30th. Today I received an alert that $15 was added to my bill because I was now out of data. Why did I get the alert if this is the case?

Overages and notices for overages are still happening the way they always do. Data is added and charged but when your bill is produced, those charges should be credited.

According to the information on AT&T original notice, you have to ask for a waiver.
I assumed that it was going to be waived automatically but if you're receiving a notice I would be as concerned as you are. If you don't see a credit when the bill is produced, call them.

Is the overage waiver still in effect? We've had power and internet outages in my area due to a storm and I've been working at home and using my phone as a hot spot. Data is rapidly accruing. Please advise.

The overage and other benefits of COVID-19 ended for all carriers on June 30.   If your area is under some sort of emergency there may be a benefit based on your ZIP Code.
