Billed for usage on old account and new account, need to close old account permanently
I have a total of three (3) AT&T accounts, where I should have two (2). The original account holder is deceased and we were told we would not be responsible for their bills.
New wireless and internet accounts were created. I merged the accounts online and that seems to be working as intended. I've just received another wireless bill in the mail which shows my phone number and usage, but the account number does not match my new account and there are late fees. It seems I'm being double-billed for wireless.
Please escalate this issue, I have been on hold with AT&T support for 27 minutes now.
