At&t stole $785.69 from me
I have been without a cell phone for over 2 weeks now... after shopping around, I decided to take the plunge with At&t and I knew I wanted the Apple iPhone 13. I selected my phone, plan, accessories, did the credit check, agreed to terms of service, all that, now comes down to pay and it says I owe $785.69 today. Okay, that is more than I have ever paid outright for a phone in my entire life, but desperation is as desperation does, and it surely bit me in the (Edited per community guidelines) quick. I enter my card information and an error pops up, could not verify, try again, could not verify... so I add in my routing and account number instead... could not verify. Well, they verified enough to take $785.69 out of my account but will not complete my order and it still says it cannot be verified!!!!! That is a lot of money and this is a complete nightmare!!! The website says 24/7 support but I call and I do the chat thing and it says no one is available as it is after hours... So I guess I will be up until 8am because there is no way I am going to be able to sleep at this point. I will call as soon as they open, I may go straight to a retail store but I have to work, $800 does not come easy in my world so they better make this right! I cannot believe this! Even finding support to contact someone is near impossible, and there is no option for "You stole hundreds of dollars from me and I want it back."

Drama.
Is it sitting as 'pending'? If it says pending AT&T does not have your money, your bank still has it

That's NOT stealing, that's a problem with your purchase.
Call your credit card company and see if it's actually billed or just pending.

Payment attempted, but did not verify. Sounds like it is probably pending or in a hold status. Normally situation like that means within 48 business hours the funds either go through or bank releases the hold on them.
An issue with payment submitting, even with it pending or with a hold, is not stealing. If you cannot deal with funds unavailable for a few business days, then don't make the purchase in the first place.
