AT&T Hasn't received my NEXT upgrade phone

I recently upgraded my phone under the conditions that I return my old phone, which was in working order and had no physical defects. I mailed it on July 31, 2018. It is now August 14 and I still haven't received notification that AT&T has received the device. This greatly worries me because I've heard horror stories of AT&T adding the value of the phone to your bill and customer service will not help you. I already experienced this when a service rep told me "well, it's the Postal Service's problem."

 

I'm noticing this is incredibly common and I have no idea what to do. I have filed an investigation with USPS

Have you checked the tracking number to see if USPS says it was delivered?

Unfortunately, I don't have one. I did take a picture of the label though, because it looked like it had a reference number on it.

Same thing here. I bought the new Iphone xs and sent in my phone on the 26th and I do have a tracking number, which shows it was picked up on the 26th and delivered to the agent on the 27th. But they are saying they haven't received it. I'm going to call them tomorrow because I did my job I shouldn't be responsible for the $190
