AT&T are CROOKS/Theives

AT&T is stealing from me and I have been a loyal customer for 7 years and never been late on one payment. Back in September 2016 when AT&T was having the promotion to get the free iPhone 7 when you trade in your iPhone 6 was a scam. It is now May 2017 and I have yet to receive my credits for the phone. I am paying when it was supposed to be free. The sales associate informed me to mail in my iPhone 6 when I received the iPhone 7 in the mail due to back order on the iPhone 7 Plus. I have been speaking with the store manager for four months and nothing has been done and they always advise they would call me back but never due. AT&T stole my iPhone 6 and is making me pay for the iPhone 7. They did not keep their end of the bargain and is stealing from me. This is happening to two phones on my account.

My wife and I have been ripped off by at&t on a constant basis. We had u verse for 5 years the bills were constantly escalating. We would spend hours every month disputing the cost of their service. I finally paid them off and cancelled their service after they linked our cell phones to our u verse account without authorization. I had refused to pay the cable bill till they worked out their billing. So they turned off u verse and our three cell phones. It cost me 1600.00 to get my phones back on with no delinquent phone bill. So that's it right? Nope! We sent the u verse boxes back to att and thought it was over. Well nope! They have a collection agency calling me almost daily saying we owe them 1900.00 dollars. We owe them nothing, I have receipts for the final bill from them. These people are criminals extorting money from people on the premise that they will just turn off your phone too! I am getting rid of my phones after 15 years with them. If you are thinking about going with att buy some lube.

Exactly what did you think they would do when you stopped paying the bill? Come to their senses?

 

These people are criminals extorting money from people on the premise that they will just turn off your phone too! 

It sounds like you didn't pay the bill and then they turned the phones off.

My phones were paid. Did you actually read what I posted. They turned off my phones. They had nothing to do with u verse.

I actually quoted it, so YES, I read it. Did you read what I wrote? And why/how I came up with what I did? (Read on BEFORE you respond).

 

You didn't pay the bill, I know this because you wrote "I had refused to pay the cable bill till they worked out their billing"

 

But you specifically said they had "linked our cell phones to our u verse", I know this since you told me (and I read it). So it sounds like they were on one bill.

 

If there were NOT on one bill, I'm confused on what you mean by linking? (and why you brought it up?)

You said differently in your original post: "...they linked our cell phones to our u verse account..."

 

You should ask the collection agency to send you confirmation of the debt.
