AT&T are CROOKS/Theives
AT&T is stealing from me and I have been a loyal customer for 7 years and never been late on one payment. Back in September 2016 when AT&T was having the promotion to get the free iPhone 7 when you trade in your iPhone 6 was a scam. It is now May 2017 and I have yet to receive my credits for the phone. I am paying when it was supposed to be free. The sales associate informed me to mail in my iPhone 6 when I received the iPhone 7 in the mail due to back order on the iPhone 7 Plus. I have been speaking with the store manager for four months and nothing has been done and they always advise they would call me back but never due. AT&T stole my iPhone 6 and is making me pay for the iPhone 7. They did not keep their end of the bargain and is stealing from me. This is happening to two phones on my account.

Good Morning @Jonny421!
We are glad to see you have joined us in the Community Forums! When it comes to a promotion you were offered and have yet to receive, this can certainly be concerning. I would love to assist you in researching this matter!
Please expect from me a private message shortly. This way I can gather additional details from you. I hope to speak soon!
Until then, have an excellent weekend!

Exactly what did you think they would do when you stopped paying the bill? Come to their senses?
It sounds like you didn't pay the bill and then they turned the phones off.
I haven't heard much about this happening before.

I actually quoted it, so YES, I read it. Did you read what I wrote? And why/how I came up with what I did? (Read on BEFORE you respond).
You didn't pay the bill, I know this because you wrote "I had refused to pay the cable bill till they worked out their billing"
But you specifically said they had "linked our cell phones to our u verse", I know this since you told me (and I read it). So it sounds like they were on one bill.
If there were NOT on one bill, I'm confused on what you mean by linking? (and why you brought it up?)

You said differently in your original post: "...they linked our cell phones to our u verse account..."
You should ask the collection agency to send you confirmation of the debt.
