Additional charges after starting a new plan????

I just signed up yesterday for 4 lines on black friday deals and paid $290.72 which (according to the email receipt is for sales tax and shipping to my location).  There were $0.00 down payments for each line because of the black friday deals. Today, I have 2 charges on my card in addition to the $290.72.  These are $61.62 and $76.85.  What are these for? I can't sign in online yet so I dont have my account number yet or anything and I cant get support without having that info.

Please help!

Finding additional charges can be alarming, shaybeck! Let's look into that for you.

First, you will want to follow the information provided by @formerlyknownas. Those charges are likely service and installment. You'll want to keep the invoice and create your User ID once the transfer from your previous service provider is complete.

After your first bill arrives you will want to watch for an explanation of those charges. Here's how to find them and what to expect when your first bill arrives. View the information under Charges on your bill when you stop by Understand your first wireless bill.

If you still need assistance after your first bill arrives then reach back out to us. We can take a closer look into those charges and provide a definite resolution into your experience.

Hi,

You can call customer service we will just ask for your number and your 4-8 digit passcode to verify the account. Then you can ask the rep what is the charge for we can search the card payments using your card number and expiration date. But I suggest that you ask the bank first if it's from att.

The original $290 wouldn't by chance be sitting on your account as pending?

There is no charge for shipping. But you are charged a pending charge for the sales tax. Once the phones are shipped and individual charge for sales tax is made, especially if phones must be shipped separately. Your $290 pending charge will drop off of your credit card.

Just in case you also were not told how your first bill will look. You will have activation charges for each of the four lines. If you enrolled in a discount signature program which allows the credits for the activation charges, until your signature discount program is verified those $30 charges will not be credited back. Your first bill will be considerably larger than your normal bill. It will include installments on every phone that you purchased even if you enrolled in a promotion. Promotional credits on phones take two to three months with missing credits posted at that time. You are also charged for a full month service for next month in addition to a partial month service which can be anything from 3 days to 3 weeks.

Your auto pay and paperless billing discount of $10 per phone line will not be given until your first bill is paid with autopay and paperless billing.

Any other questions, feel free to ask, most people freak out when they see the customer service summary or their first bill because they didn't read it and weren't warned that it will be large.

Unfortunately, the $290 and the other two charges have cleared, neither have dropped off and none of them are pending.  Also, I dont have an account pin yet and am transferring my numbers from my old carrier.

Hang on to your receipt and when you have all four phones and for phone lines activated, then contact AT&T if they have not reversed the taxes on the original charge.

Once you activate the primary phone and phone number and is ported over from your previous carrier you can create your access ID online.
