Additional charges after placing new online order
So, I recently placed a new online order for wireless services and paid the money on my receipt sent to my e-mail. To my surprise, I wake up today and there are two (2) additional charges. One for $96.25 and another for $27.19 in addition to the already paid $219.69 which was the total for the order. I did not receive any e-mail or alerts and of course cannot sign up for myatt without an account number. Does anyone know what these additional charges could be and why I wasn’t notified? Not a good start for a new customer.

Assuming that you ordered yesterday, you would have paid taxes up front for each phone. If your phones were shipped today you would be charged for service and installment with taxes and activation fee. Since I don't know what you ordered, just a guess
Pending charges often fall off when billing starts.

Hello @A1ladiicruz, we're happy to help with charges that may occur after placing an order.
In addition, to the information provided by @formerlyknownas. We may initiate a credit check or use your existing credit information on file with AT&T companies in order to determine installment service eligibility and complete your order. The additional amount that you are required to pay as a down payment today is applied to the price of the device, so there could be differences in what you're required to pay.
We hope this info helps. If you still have questions we can meet in a DM to take a closer look into any charges. Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums.

@ATTHelp If that is the case, why was ai not informed of the additional charges? I did not receive an e-mail or call explaining need for additional charges. That is ridiculous practice to charge a card without informing the customer and asking permission first. I tried calling today and was told no one could explain the charges because I do not have my account number. This is a new account and I do not have the account number as I never received it. I am being given the run-around and horrible communication.

Based on your charge concerns, we want to get you into a DM to take a closer look into your order @A1ladiicruz. Check the message icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page and reply.
In the meantime, gather your order information and reply to our Direct Message, and we'll get started with looking into the root cause. Thank you.

FYI down payments when required are in round numbers, like $100, $150, $500 etc. Those amounts cannot be related to a down payment. Far more likely that is service cost and installment.

I changed my cable, internet, and cell service. I want going to move my cell service due to having new S22 Galaxies less than 12 months old that I bought out right at Best Buy. There was A quality assurance inspector who came to my home to insure installation was done correctly. He spoke to me about cell service. I told him I’m happy with my service and the monthly cost with my military discount ($97.52). For two lines. I was offered 2 new phones off my choice with a $800 discount for each with a$300 prepaid Visa card. The cost was to be $116 with insurance on each. My first bill was $268 which was expected. My second bill was $171. It included 2 charges for $36.95 for each phone. That shouldn’t be. There was 36 payments for phones that I told him were paid for. I spoke to AT&T and they said that’s how the contract reads. Well a few days my contract came by mail that reflected the charges were there. The representative was no help and I’m stuck with phones that I never would’ve gotten had I known I would be paying twice for the phones. He also silenced the messages sent by him reflecting the details. Now I can’t make contact with him, he is a road person for AT&T. What is my recourse?

As mentioned, credits of $22.22 ($800 total over 36 months) take 2 to 3 months, with make up credits.
Switch credits may be a monthly credit of $10 over 25 months. ($300? Not what's advertised. $250 is what's online). If is a lump sum as a gift card, you must claim online. Please do so before it expires.
$10 per phone line, Auto pay and paperless billing discount requires you sign up for both. It's stackable with military discount.
Military discount gets you 25% off all current plans.
Based on 2 lines...
Premium $112.50
Extra $97.50
Start $90
Before tax and whatever the difference is between your installment and the installment credit
